Tunisia wins over Egypt under coach Vitoria

The Egyptian national team tasted the bitterness of its first loss under the leadership of its Portuguese coach, Rui Vitoria, at the hands of its guest, the Tunisian national team, with a score of (1-3), today, Tuesday, in a friendly match hosted by Aldifaa Aljawi Stadium in Cairo

The Tunisian national team scored two early goals in the 3rd and 7th minutes through Issa Al-Aidouni and Hamdi Fathi, the Egyptian player, into its own goal. Then the Egyptian national team scored a goal through Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed in the 34th minute, while Hamza Rafia added the third goal for the Tunisian national team in the 90th + 4th minute

The Tunisian team, led by its coach Jalal Al-Qadiri, gave a good performance and succeeded in exploiting the available opportunities with a distinguished defensive performance in light of the lackluster level of the Egyptian team, despite the appearance of Mohamed Salah, captain of the team and Liverpool star, after he was excused from facing Ethiopia in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers

The Egyptian team suffered its first loss against Vitoria after 8 matches during which it achieved victory, and the two teams are preparing to compete in the African Cup of Nations, which will be hosted by Côte d’Ivoire early next year

The match began with clear confusion in the defense of the Egyptian national team, which resulted in a strong attack led by Muhammad Ali bin Ramadan, which was not exploited by Elias Ashouri

The Tunisian team succeeded in exploiting the Egyptian confusion by scoring the lead goal in the 3rd minute through Issa Al-Aidouni with a very powerful shot against Abu Jabal on the border of the penalty area

The Tunisian team continued its superiority and scored the second goal in the 7th minute via a cross ball that Hamdi Fathi accidentally headed into his own net, strengthening Tunisia’s lead

Vitoria changed the game to 3-4-3 after the Tunisian lead. Al-Qaim responded to a shot from Omar Marmoush from a mistake on the edge of the penalty area, then another chance from Marmoush with a pass that was far from dangerous

The Tunisian team imposed strict control on Mohamed Salah, but the Egyptian team succeeded in scoring the goal to reduce the difference in the 34th minute through a wonderful shot by Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed into the Tunisian net

Omar Kamal attempted another shot over the crossbar, ending the first half with the Tunisian team leading (2-1), amid a lackluster performance by the Egyptian team, which tried to improve the image at the beginning of the second half and gain possession of the ball

The Egyptian national team missed the threat against Tunisia's goal, with Salah completely away from his usual level, and a dangerous attempt from the Liverpool star was missed

Vitoria made two substitutions to activate the ranks with the participation of Mahmoud Hamada and Mustafa Fathi at the expense of Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Tariq Hamed

The Tunisian national team also brought in the duo Hamza Rafia and Alaa Gharam instead of Ali Maaloul and Ben Ramadan

The Tunisian national team tried to reach the Abu Jabal goal with an opportunity for Masakani without danger, and the Egyptian national team fielded the duo Ibrahim Adel and Mohamed Hamdi instead of Marmoush and Omar Kamal, while Omar Layouni and Hannibal Al-Mejbri participated in the Tunisian squad

An attempt by Mustafa Mohamed was missed without danger, Osama Faisal and Wissam Morsi participated instead of Hamdi Fathi and Hossam Abdel Majeed, and Ali Gabr removed a dangerous attempt from Wajdi Kashrida

Mustafa Mohamed missed a close attempt near Al-Qaim, while a dangerous Tunisian opportunity was missed in the final minutes

The Tunisia national team scored its third goal in the 90th + 4th minute through Hamza Rafia after clear confusion inside the Egyptian team’s penalty area, so the match ended with a well-deserved victory for Tunisia
